Lights, Camera, Video Schema!

We just launched our new YouTube video titled "Video Schema for Lawyers," and it's a must-watch for any law firm that is using videos on its website. Right now, much of your video's search traffic is probably getting routed to YouTube... but you could be getting that traffic directly on your law firm's website. Video schema can help.

Video schema markup is a powerful tool that can significantly improve your videos' visibility in Google searches, especially in the Google Video tab. By adding video schema code to your law firm website's video pages (it's easy, I show you how in the video), you tell search engines exactly what your content is about, making it easier for them to index and display your videos in search results. This means that when potential clients are searching for legal info, your videos—and, more importantly, your website—stand a better chance of appearing in front of them.

Our latest video, "Video Schema for Lawyers," dives deep into why and how law firms should utilize video schema markup. Here are a few key takeaways:

  • Brand Control: Hosting videos on your website gives you complete control over the environment surrounding your videos.
  • Direct Traffic: By driving viewers directly to your website, you can showcase your law firm's strengths, such as case results, team members, and other selling points, alongside your video content.
  • Easy Implementation: Adding video schema to your site is straightforward, especially with SEO plugins for platforms like WordPress. Our video walks you through the process, making it accessible even for those without a technical background.
  • Enhanced Visibility: With video schema, you're not just hoping for the best. You're actively guiding Google to recognize your site as a valuable resource for legal video content, increasing the likelihood of your videos being featured in search results.

When Google sees you as a resource, users can actually search your video archive in Google. In the example above, a video search for Charleston workers compensation lawyer allows users to narrow their search to just Steinberglawfirm.com. Steinberg Law Firm is one of just 3 law firms listed alongside other content sources like YouTube, Facebook, and TikTok.

This marks the final episode of our Schema for Lawyers series but it's not our last video! We're working on some great videos to help your law firm thrive in search... and beyond.
